To qualify for the CITR, candidates must pass the exam and have at least six months of cumulative work experience in IT recruitment.

Certified IT Recruiter is the perfect certification to help fast-track your career growth and provide you with the confidence to launch into the IT Recruitment profession. The CITR is the first-ever HR certification designed for IT recruitment professionals and proves your knowledge of foundational IT Recruitment.
Training is recommended as part of your certification preparation, but it is not mandatory for the completion of the certification.

An employer can verify your certification by using the Certification Verification page on our website. Your certification number will be needed in order to process the verification.
Test takers who do not pass an exam must wait 14 days before they are eligible to retake the exam. There is no limit on exam attempts until the test taker has passed. For each exam attempt, the full registration price must be paid. Beta exam test takers are eligible for one attempt only.
Immediately after taking the exam at a test center, you will receive a copy of your results report. Your official online results report will be available within 24-48 hours after testing, and you’ll receive an email notice when it is ready.

Yes, practice exams are available. The practice exams will allow you to test your knowledge online in a timed environment, and experience the exam format and platform prior to taking the full exam.

You can use certificates of completion or attendance, receipts, badges from attendance, itineraries that were provided, or written statements describing what the activity was, how it relates to the domains, and what you learned from it.
The best preparation for certification exams is practical experience. We recommend six months to two years of experience as an IT Recruiter. We also offer training and materials to help you prepare. After completing your practice exam, you will receive a score report email with high-level feedback to help you understand how you scored on the exam content covered on the practice exam. Answers to the practice exam are not provided to the test taker. You can use the exam guide in conjunction with your score report to help you with your exam preparation.
Practice exams can be purchased from our exam deliver providers. The practice exam are 20 USD. Purchase of a practice exam provides you with one attempt.
Access to the practice exam will expire after 30 days, and once the practice exam is launched, you will have 60 minutes to complete the exam.
